




To the members of the graduating class of 1960, Saint Joseph College was always at 85 Bluff, Yokohame (as the place was called by the foreign residents of Yokohama). However, since its inception by the Marianist Brothers of the Catholic Church, this small international school had to locate itself in Kobe, Karuizawa and Hakone. Where it stood last in Yokohama is where most of the school's over 2000 students have spent their momorable time.that prepared them to the world that they were about to enter. The Class of 60 remembers the school from around 1948 as first graders and till around 1960 of the graduation. Thereafter for one or the other visits to the school brought us back to what we knew as well as updated us of the changes that were taking place after we left. Here are the snap shots of what we recall right up to the spring of 2002 when the cherry blossom and the gates that form the frame for each of us to draw into it from our memories (see Broken). |
